Translation of Selected Verses of the Holy Qur'an on

ALLAH

The Provider, The Bestower, The Bountiful

The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah's way is like the likeness of a grain which groweth seven ears, in every year a hundred grains. Allah giveth increase manifold to whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing (2 : 261)

Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after Thou hast guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Bestower. (3 : 8)

One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: I will bring it thee before thy gaze returneth unto thee. And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul: and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul's hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in independence, Bountiful. (27 : 40)

Allah is gracious unto His slaves. He provideth for whom He will. And He is the Strong, the Mighty. (42 : 19)

Lo! Allah! He it is Who giveth livelihood, the Lord of Unbreakable might. (51 : 58)

The Forgiving, The Forbearing

A kind word with forgiveness is better than alms-giving followed by injury, Allah is Absolute, Clement. (2 : 263)

If ye do good openly or keep it secret, or forgive evil, lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Powerful.
(4 : 149)

Then lo! thy Lord - for those who become fugitives after they have been persecuted, and then fought and were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful. (16 : 110)

This it is which Allah announceth unto His bondmen who believe and do good works. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee thereof, save loving kindness among kinsfolk. And whoso scoreth a good deed we add unto its good for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Responsive. (42 : 23)

That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew. (71 : 4)
