Translation of Selected Verses of the Holy Qur'an onALLAHThe Provider, The Bestower, The
Bountiful The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah's way is like the likeness of a grain which groweth seven ears, in every year a hundred grains. Allah giveth increase manifold to whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing (2 : 261) Our Lord! Cause not our
hearts to stray after Thou hast guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence.
Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Bestower. (3 : 8) One with whom was knowledge
of the Scripture said: I will bring it thee before thy gaze returneth unto thee.
And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty
of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever
giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul: and whosoever
is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul's hurt). For lo! my Lord is
Absolute in independence, Bountiful. (27 : 40) Allah is gracious unto
His slaves. He provideth for whom He will. And He is the Strong, the Mighty. (42
: 19) Lo! Allah! He it is Who giveth livelihood, the Lord of Unbreakable might. (51 : 58)
A kind word with forgiveness
is better than alms-giving followed by injury, Allah is Absolute, Clement. (2
: 263) If ye do good openly or
keep it secret, or forgive evil, lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Powerful. Then lo! thy Lord - for
those who become fugitives after they have been persecuted, and then fought and
were steadfast - lo! thy Lord afterward is (for them) indeed Forgiving, Merciful.
