Supplications to Him of the Greatest Prophets, peace be upon themSupplication of Nabi Nuh (Prophet Noah), peace be upon him: And he said: Embark in it; in the Name of Allah be its moving and its anchoring; most surely my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful (11:41) Supplication of Nabi Ibrahim (Prophet Abraham) for Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them: Our Lord! And raise up in their midst a (Prophetic) Messenger from among them who shall recite to them Your revelations, and shall teach them the Scripture, and the Wisdom and shall purify them; surely You are the Mighty, the Wise. (2:129) Supplication of Nabi Musa (Prophet Moses), peace be upon him: He said: My Lord! forgive me and my brother and admit us to Your mercy and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful (7:151) Supplication of Nabi ‘Isa (Prophet Jesus), peace be upon him: ‘Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary) said: O Allah! Our Lord! send down to us a table spread (with food) from heaven that it may be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and a sign from You, and provide us sustenance, and You are the Best to provide. (5:114) Some of the Qur’anic Supplications Dear to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: The (Prophetic) Messenger believed in what was revealed to him from His Lord, and (so did) the believers; they all believed in Allah and His Angels and His Books and His (Prophetic) Messengers; (they said) we make no distinction (in faith) between any of His (Prophetic) Messengers; and they said: we hear and we obey, (grant us) Your forgiveness our Lord, and to You is the eventual return. Allah does not place on any soul a burden but to the extent of its capacity; for it is (the benefit of) what it has earned, and against it (the evil of) what it has wrought: Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake, Our Lord! Do not lay on us such a burden as You did lay on those before us; Our Lord! Do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us, You are our Protector, so help us against the unbelieving people. (2:285-286) And say: My Lord! forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best to show mercy. (23:118) |
